Canada as a Study Destination
Canada is one of the top choices of international students across the world.
According to the Canadian Bureau for International Education, Canada is a popular choice because of the quality of education provided by its universities and colleges. But for those who choose Canada as their study destination, we all know that it’s more than just that.
Canada offers a pathway to international students that directly leads to Permanent Residency.
And this is the most prominent reason why international students, and Filipinos in general, decide to study in Canada.
After studying in Canada, international students are eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit. This is the bridge that allows an international student to remain in Canada to work in a skilled position until they gain enough Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) points to become eligible for Permanent Residency.
After 1-2 years of skilled work experience in Canada, they can then choose to apply for one of the 80 economic class immigration programs. Among the more popular ones is the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
