In a recent draw last August 18, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) sent out invitations to apply for provincial nomination to 302 immigration candidates. This latest draw brings the number of candidates the province has invited to almost 6,000 this 2020.
This recent round saw candidates in the Skilled Workers and International Graduates categories of the program’s Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI) streams receive invitations. Candidates from the Skills Immigration: Entry Level and Semi-skilled Workers categories also received invitations.
Applicants interested in the EEBC categories must have a profile registered in the federal Express Entry system.
Meanwhile, skilled and semi-skilled workers with in-demand occupations go through the SI stream.
For the five categories involved, the minimum score required for this draw ranged between 76 and 98, distributed as follows:
- SI – Skilled Worker: 96
- SI – International Graduate: 98
- SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 76
- EEBC – Skilled Worker: 96
- EEBC – International Graduate: 98
Candidates who wish to receive a provincial nomination through the EEBC stream must also be registered in BC’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), alongside a registered profile in the federal Express Entry system.
British Columbia has held three draws this month, including a Tech draw on August 11 through their Tech Pilot, which was recently extended to June 2021.
