Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited 500 healthcare professionals to apply for permanent residence, and they announced that they will invite around 1,500 more this month.

The recent updates of IRCC’s category-based selection reveal that the healthcare occupation is considered the largest number of eligible occupations.

This means that the healthcare industry is actively looking for more professionals to meet the rising demand of Canada’s healthcare industry. 

The reason for this is that Canada is currently facing significant challenges due to an aging population and a low birthrate, which is among the lowest globally. 

By 2030, the country predicted that nine million Canadians will reach the age of 65. This demographic change will result in an increased demand for healthcare services in the country.
