As the world slowly recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, many countries have begun carefully reopening their borders and easing travel restrictions. A number of Visa Application Centres (VACs) have now resumed operations to accommodate visa applicants for Schengen countries. Here’s a list of reopened VACs and the visas they are currently processing:

  • Germany

Germany’s visa application centre is located in Manila, and is currently accepting seafarer visa applications.

  • Netherlands

Netherlands’ visa application centre is located in Manila, and is currently accepting seafarer visa applications.

  • France

France’s visa application centre is located in Manila, and is currently accepting short stay and long stay (student) visa applications.

  • Sweden

Sweden’s visa application centre is located in Manila, and is currently accepting short stay visa applications.

  • Belgium

While it may take some time for all VACs to resume their normal operations, it is a good sign to see many open up again to begin processing applications for hopeful migrants, workers, and travelers.
