Last May 7, Manitoba invited 123 immigration candidates from three different Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) streams. Each candidate had a profile in Manitoba’s Expression of Interest pool, and at least 14 had valid Express Entry Profiles.
Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) issued during this invitation round were given out as follows:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 94, with a score of at least 475;
- Skilled Workers Overseas: 14, with lowest-ranking candidate scoring 802;
- International Education Stream: 15;
So far, the MPNP has issued over 1,931 LAAs in 2020. This draw marks the 89th round of invitations since the program began in 2014.
The candidates invited through the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream were invited directly by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, while those invited through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category must have a full-time, permanent job offer from a Manitoba employer, among other requirements.
Manitoba graduates with certain in-demand skills may be invited under the International Education Stream, which includes three subcategories: Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the International Student Entrepreneur Pilot.
The MPNP sent out 15 LAAs to International Education Stream candidates in this draw.
