Last June 11, the Express Entry system issued a round of invitations to over 3,559 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates.
Following the trend of the previous CEC draws, the minimum cut-off score for this draw once again decreased, from 440 down to 437, a decrease of three points. This recent draw is now among the largest CEC-specific Express Entry draws since Canada first introduced special measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus last March.
This recent draw was hot on the heels of a PNP-centric Express Entry Draw on June 10, which issued over 341 invitations to candidates with a minimum score of 743.
A tie-break rule was applied to this draw, setting the date and time to May 25, 2020, at 00:31:43 UTC, allowing CEC candidates with a CRS score of at least 437 who submitted their profile before this date and time to receive an ITA in this invitation round.
Today’s draw brings the total ITAs issued in 2020 to 46,000, still ahead of the number of ITAs issued at this time last year and the year before.
