On July 14, British Columbia invited 320 candidates in the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skilled Immigration (SI) streams to apply for a provincial nomination through their most recent Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw.
Candidates in this draw from the EEBC stream received an additional 600 points to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, boosting their score and guaranteeing them a higher chance at receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residency in the next Express Entry draw.
The EEBC stream is among many provincial programs in Canada that are aligned with the Express Entry system.
Candidates in the Skills Immigration stream’s Skilled Worker, International Graduate, or Entry Level and Semi-Skilled categories were also issued an invitation this round.
This recent draw required a minimum score of 76 provincial points for the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled category, and a minimum score of 98 for every other category, as follows:
- SI – Skilled Worker: 98
- SI – International Graduate: 98
- SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 76
- EEBC – Skilled Worker: 98
- EEBC – International Graduate: 98
Those considering applying through the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration stream should register in the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). However, only those interested in applying through the EEBC stream must have a profile in the federal Express Entry system.
