The IRCC has announced that in order to safeguard the continuity of trade, commerce, health and food security for all Canadians, there will be new updates regarding exemptions of travel restrictions to accommodate foreign nationals who have already committed to working, studying or making Canada their home.
Among those included in the updated exemptions are international students who currently hold a valid study permit or have been approved for a study permit when the travel restrictions took effect last March 18.
The exemptions now also include permanent resident applicants who were approved for permanent residence before the travel restrictions were announced on March 16, but who have not yet traveled to Canada.
