Currently, Immigration New Zealand’s Beijing, Mumbai, and Manila offices have been closed in order to comply with preventive measures to combat the spread of COVID-19. However, INZ is still committed to minimizing the impact on visa processing times.
New Zealand recently announced that they are closing their borders, but New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, residents with valid travel conditions and their immediate family (partner or spouse, legal guardian and dependent children under the age of 24) may still travel to New Zealand. For immediate family members of New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, a valid visa or NZeTA is required. Immediate family members must also be traveling on the same flight to New Zealand with the citizen or permanent resident.
Residents with expired travel conditions cannot travel to New Zealand. Applications for reinstatement are open.
INZ cannot extend visa durations. Visa fees or levies paid for completed applications will not be refunded or deferred for another visa. Undecided applications may be withdrawn.
